“O jogo do pau acabou”
Neste vídeo podemos ver uma canção e dança sobre o jogo do pau, infelizmente já não podemos ver jogo do pau, pois como nos diz o cantor, ele já não existe, nesta aldeia pelo menos, e infelizmente em muitas outras. Agora só o podem cantar, e bater com os paus para os fazer soar numa coreografia que apenas nos faz lembrar algo que se perdeu.
There is no Jogo do pau anymore.
In this video we can see a song and dance about jogo do pau, however this is not a jogo do pau demonstration but a dance to accompany the song, as many other folkloric dances the group performs. The singer tells the story of a time when there was brave jogo do pau fighters in the village, and says that now, there is no jogo do pau anymore there (in this village and unfortunatly in many others). All they can do now is to sing and dance, in a choreography, just hitting the staffs in the air to make them sound and remember something that is lost.
